Google Earth (Week 8 Thing 19)
I've been using google earth for a while now. I always get it out when we talk about the 13 original colonies. We look at Jamestown and the other surrounding areas. Usually the activty progresses to looking at our homes nearby etc. and the students love it. It certainly makes the earth look smaller and larger at the same time.

Heather's doing the colonies too! She has to do a project and dress up in a costume on the last day of school before break. She's stressing about the costume, but we're making a white apron and bonnet and she's got a long sleeved black shirt she can wear under a black dress she has. That's just going to have to be good enough.
